Security Engineer

 Responsibilities:

• Support monitoring, detection, and alerts on potential security threats and vulnerabilities
• Work closely with network engineering and technical operations teams to coordinate response and mitigate threat
• Coordinate the implementation of security countermeasures
• Perform vulnerability and configuration management scans and communicate results to system owners for remediation
• Provide production support to security systems and tools used by network security operations

Requirements of the Security Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of experience in IT/network and information security
• At least 1 year of experience in information security operations
• Knowledge of network and security system vulnerabilities and exploits
• Demonstrated experience managing information security events and incidents
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Security+ certification
